Welcome to the Washington DC Queer Tango Collective
Our Mission: Organized by and for LGBTQ+ dancers and their allies, the Collective seeks to create joyful, safe, and inclusive queer tango spaces and experiences. We celebrate all gender identities, orientations, and forms of self-expression and reject gender-based prejudices. We dance with 100% consent, building community and caring for and learning from each other.

Biweekly Practice at Petworth Neighborhood Library
FREE OF CHARGE - We meet regularly every two weeks on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon for a guided practica. The practicas are always free of charge. Beginners are welcome, with more experienced dancers available to assist and guide newcomers. From time to time, we hold a free all-levels class or a series of tango drills at the start of the practicas.
The practicas are held at the Petworth Neighborhood Library which is located at the corner of Georgia and Kansas Avenues, NW in Washington, DC. Closest Metro station is Georgia Avenue/Petworth on the Green Line. Parking is plentiful nearby.
